Silvia Weko joined the FAU Chair of Sustainability Transition Policy in 2023. Her research focuses on the politics of sustainability transitions, and the different actors that aim to shape how economic value is created and distributed. From 2019-2023 she worked as a research associate with the Research Institute for Sustainability (RIFS) on topics including the geopolitics of green hydrogen, technology transfer and innovation, data and intellectual property in transitions, and EU sustainability policy. Her dissertation was completed in 2023 with the University of Erfurt with the Graduate Center for Effective and Innovative Policymaking in Contested Contexts (EIPCC).
